Cultural Awareness
The need for cross cultural awareness is invaluable at all levels of business. Working in a global marketplace where colleagues and clients come from different cultural backgrounds means that having an understanding of different cultures – both social and business – can be equally as important as understanding other languages.
Relocation to other countries, or overseas employees relocating to the UK, involves getting to grips with the culture of your new place of work.
We will always include an element of cultural awareness training within our business language training courses as we acknowledge the importance of this when working in today’s global multicultural business environment.
If you are relocating or just entering a new overseas market you may wish to have a 2 day intensive course just focusing on cultural awareness of a particular country. We would be happy to arrange this for you at your place of work.
Free Language Consultation
In order to design a course which meets all your business needs, we offer a free language consultancy which takes place prior to the start of your language training course.
Depending on location, this can take the form of a face-to-face meeting or telephone call, where your specific language training requirements are discussed. We talk about the business situations in which you might be required to use your new language skills, and what work-specific terminology you would like to be able to use in the target language.
We can advise on the best method of learning for you to achieve your goals, and then design a language training course which will enable you to achieve them.
1-1 and Group Language Tuition
If you require individual language training this can be arranged at a time to suit you at your place of work - on either a weekly or intensive basis. Clients who travel overseas regularly may find that they cannot commit to a specific time/day each week for their training. With our 1-1 language training programme you can alter the time/day of your lesson with your tutor from week to week to fit in with your work schedule.
If you have several colleagues who wish to have language training together we offer group training at a time/day to suit the group. Group training sessions can be held in the early morning, during the working day, or after work in the early evening – all at your place of work. There is no limit on the size of group but we would advise no more than 12.
Language Training in the UK and other European Locations
We offer language training at your place of work at the majority of locations in the UK through our extensive network of first-class, experienced language trainers.
Some clients prefer to have intensive language training abroad, and we are able to organise this for you. Through our associates abroad we can offer Dutch training in Amsterdam, Italian training in Venice, French training in Paris and Spanish training in Madrid. You might also wish to have an intensive week’s training in any of these locations to enhance your weekly training in the UK.
